[2008-10-16] EOF on the DDJ Subscription

I have let my subscription to Dr Dobb's Journal (DDJ) expire, even though I liked the magazine a lot.

Despite repeated complaints, my copies would either not arrive or arrive erratically. The irritating renewal notice that they used to send me almost every month, beginning just two months into the annual subscription, didn't help matters either. Finally, their spam filter would reject all emails sent through my personal email account and I had to create a separate email account just to be able to communicate with them.

In contrast, I have had a subscription to The Economist for over five years and I have never faced such problems with them, even though they deliver 51 issues in a year versus just 12 issues for DDJ.
