I have come back to Bangalore after a two-week vacation in Bhopal. It is the city where I grew up and where I stayed till I went to college. I was visiting Bhopal after a gap of nearly 4 years.

The city continues to expand rapidly and now has much better and wider roads. I got to eat fresh and tasty kachauris and samosas at the “Milan” shops, see the wonderful stupas at Sanchi, see the house where I had grown up, see the school I used to go to, see the awesome Manav Sangrahalaya (“Museum of Mankind”), see the one-of-a-kind cultural melting pot Bharat Bhavan and see the beautiful Bada Talaab (Upper Lake). A wonderful and memorable trip.
